Earlier this week, one of our elementary classes created thoughtful "Thank You for Your Service" cards for our local American Legion. 💌 The cards were displayed at the Veterans Day dinner, adding a personal touch to honor our community's veterans. Our elementary students have taken on the role of marine caretakers! 🐠 They’ve been hard at work cleaning, prepping, and now welcoming fish into their very own aquarium. With their science skills, they’ve been testing and monitoring water pH levels to ensure a healthy, balanced environment. 💧 They’ve introduced some awesome aquatic friends: an engineer goby, bi-color angelfish, mocha and black clownfish, two naked cinnamon clownfish, a royal gramma, a hermit crab, an asterina starfish, a green star polyp, and a green bubble tip anemone This project is an incredible way to learn about ecosystems, responsibility, and the science behind creating a thriving habitat. 🐟 #STEMLearning #WVSDB #HandsOnLearning

We’re incredibly proud of Rachelle, a student at the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (WVSDB), who recently presented at the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) conference in Morgantown, WV! 🌟 This opportunity allowed Rachelle to share her voice and connect with advocates who are making a difference for individuals who are Blind or Visually Impaired (VI). The NFB plays a crucial role in advancing accessibility and independence, and it’s an honor to have one of our own students participate in this inspiring event. Congratulations, Rachelle! 🤩 #StudentLeadership #WVSDB #StudentSuccess
