To celebrate the end of the quarter, their hard work, and positive behavior, elementary students participated in butterfly-themed activities. 🦋 Students painted flowers and will later add 3D and jeweled butterfly stickers. They also went through a butterfly life cycle obstacle course where they hatched from an egg, crawled to gather food like a caterpillar, transformed into and emerged from their chrysalis, dried their wings, drank some nectar, and migrated to a warmer climate. They also assembled and experimented with magical floating butterflies. 🐛 We are looking forward to learning more about butterflies from Susan Carroll from the Department of Environmental Protection soon!
