Students in grades 6–12 who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing (DHH), or Blind/Low Vision (VI) are invited to an unforgettable winter adventure during the February Discovery P.O.I.N.T. session, happening February 8–11, 2026.

This one-of-a-kind program is a collaborative effort among the West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (WVSDB), WVSDB Outreach, and the WV Lions Club Recreation Program, combining hands-on learning, career exploration, and thrilling recreation.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore one of five Career & Technical Education (CTE) Academies, gaining valuable skills and real-world experience in areas that match their interests.

  • Take part in an Adaptive Ski Trip, specially designed for students with sensory differences. From learning to navigate the slopes to enjoying the excitement of winter sports in a safe and supportive environment, offering students a chance to connect with peers and explore new opportunities in a supportive environment.
