The West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (WVSDB) is proud to announce the official grand opening of Appalachia Provisions Cafe in the Blue and Gold Building on the WVSDB campus. This exciting initiative is part of the ProStart Culinary/Hospitality Academy, led by Chef Brian Olden, and represents a unique hands-on learning experience for our students.
We will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in collaboration with the Hampshire County Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, January 21st, to give the community a first glimpse of this innovative learning space. Appalachia Provisions Cafe is a tangible example of how WVSDB empowers students to turn their skills into opportunities, combining academic learning with workforce preparation in a supportive, hands-on setting.
