West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind

WVSDB high school students traveled to Washington, DC Tuesday, March 21 at the invitation of Senator Joe Manchin. Students met with the Senator on the steps of the Capitol Building where they shook hands, posed for pictures, and spoke with the Senator, thanking him for his unending support of our school. Students presented Senator Manchin with a cut-out of West Virginia created by our Building Maintenance and Operations class and decorated with student fingerprints by our art classes. Students then had accessible tours of the Capitol featuring ASL presentations and tactile access to the displays.
