School Psychologist

The West Virginia Outreach Center for the Deaf and the Blind (WVOCDB) offers specialized psychological services tailored to support students with low incidence exceptionalities—Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), Blind or Low Vision (BLV), and Deaf-Blind (DB). Our school psychologist plays a critical role in fostering inclusive educational settings, providing specialized assessments, and building capacity across the state to meet each student’s unique needs.

Key Services:

Collaboration and Capacity Building

Our school psychologist partners with Local Education Agencies (LEAs) throughout West Virginia to strengthen their ability to support learners who are DHH, BLV, and DB. We work closely with educators and administrators to cultivate equitable, accessible learning environments, helping schools to better serve all students.

Psychoeducational Assessments

Our psychologist provides LEAs with resources, strategies, and tools that enhance learning and help educators meet the unique needs of each student.
